I finished reading the book Torn by Jud Wilhite and thought it was great. Jud looks at what we do when our world comes crashing down around us and we are left feeling broken, alone...torn.
Jud kicks off the book talking about how we all ask the question "Why?" when we're hurting. He digs into the Bible and reveals that maybe the question that is more important is not "Why?" but "Who?" Who is still in charge? Who is worthy of our trust when our lives are in pieces? Part 1 of the book address trusting God when we are torn.
Part 2 then addresses the challenge of putting the pieces back together.
Jud does a great job of talking about the challenges that we all have faced or will face in life. He challenges the reader to share our struggle with those around us that we trust. He talks about how we can fight for joy and learn to trust God and how we can forgive.
All in all, this book was a great read and a book that I will go back to again.
