G turns 5

Garrett turned 5 and we spent the weekend celebrating! We started off at Cottontail celebrating with his preschool.

 We got to come and watch him with his work and follow him around the room through the first part of the day!

 They have a really fun celebration at preschool, including a crown!

 On Saturday, we had two parties! Friends in the morning and family in the evening! G wanted a "race car" themed party!

 Blythe is just as excited for Garrett as he is!

 G's friends arrived and we headed to the basement. There was a big race track made out of card board for the boys to race their remote control cars. Then in the middle was the black Hot Wheels race track.

 We then headed upstairs for some snacks!

 And Lego building. Trigg and Garrett put together bags of Lego pieces and the challenge was to build a car!

 Then for the evening party, we had some birthday cake.

 Celebrating in the evening we repeated the "events"; racing remote control cars, Hot Wheels races and then Lego building!

 G got some super hero gear from Aunt Christa and he instantly turned into Superman!

Happy Birthday G! You are a fine young man with incredible strength and perseverance! We love you buddy!

SNOW

Snow, we love snow at our house, especially in the winter! We were really hoping for a white Christmas this year...but didn't get it, we will take a snowy January instead!

We did get one dusting in December and we got outside to play in little snow we did get before it melted! SNOW!!!

 Of course building a snowman led to snowball fight!

 It didn't last long...I think we used all the snow in our snowball fight!

 ...and then January rolls around.  The temp dropped and the snow started falling!

 Want to just be outside, we all grabbed our shovels and headed to the driveways. Our neighbor was out of town, so we cleared their too!

 B is always will to help!

 We also got out the sleds! B is ready to fly down the hill

 So fun in the snow!

 We got out the kiddie pool to move bigger amounts of snow...time to build a snow fort!

 We built a fort in our neighbors front yard, Allison and Trigg working on the walls!

 We then grabbed our neighbor friends and headed to Hyperion for some fast sledding!

We have a great neighborhood and it was so fun sledding! Thanks to Kevin for bringing the hot chocolate!

NYE...pajama party!

We celebrate New Year's Eve with Heather's brother and his family from South Dakota, we also had our niece and nephew's from Pella stay with us to PARTY!!!

 We played some minute to win it games. This one was how many candy canes can pick up using a candy cane in your mouth...

 It was harder than I thought it would be!

 Next we hung donuts from the ceiling and had to eat them without hands!

 The kiddo's seemed to mange just fine...and set new records!

 We all changed into PJ's and rang in the new year!  Here's the whole crew!

 B went to bed early but the two boys made it till midnight...and slept in the next morning!

2019...here we come!
