Garden Train Tour

Our good friends, the Vocelka's, their parents have a elaborate train set up in their back yard. In fact, they are members of the Central Iowa Garden Railway Society and take part in the annual Garden Railway Club tour. This tour is pretty impressive! There were 8 different homes on the tour, you check in at your first stop and get a map, each stop you get a stamp and get to check out their train set up. Some stops had simple set ups, some took up the whole yard and then some!
All aboard!
The first stop was the Vocelka's, it was impressive!
Our next stop had multiple tracks with tunnels and bridges, thumbs up from these boys!
Trigg watching as the train went through the tunnel.
B watching for the train to come around the bend.
Choo-choo, there goes the trains, this set up have multiple trains going on several different tracks
and a waterfall and stream running right through the middle!
This stop not only had model train set up, they converted this old riding lawn mower into a train, complete with a compressor hooked up to the whistle to give the real train sound!
If you are looking for something to do in June, I would recommend checking out Garden Railways!
