Heather grew up in Pella, so each spring we head there for the annual Tulip Time celebration! She was on the Tulip Court her senior year in high school and those gals get together each Tulip Time to catch up and walk together in the afternoon parade, it's an annual reunion. Heather's brother lives 3 blocks off the square, so we use their house as a pit stop and resting station! We got into Pella on Saturday and it was a beautiful day! Heather got geared up for the parade. Camille, our niece, was in the parade with her elementary class.
3 dutch girls...and yes, Heather has plans to find Blythe a dutch costume...maybe for next year!We headed up to the square to find our seats for the parade. Heather went to meet her friends and I asked the kids if they wanted to walk around and look at the tulips...only B took me up on the offer. She loved the tulips and wanted her picture taken in front of all of them!
She is turning into a little model posing in front of the tulips.
"Dad, look at these...take my picture"
...and then the poses started!
Cheese!!
We made the rounds and then the parade started...and there's mom walking in the parade!
"Dad, look at these!"
G gave the parade and tulips 2 thumbs up!
