Pumpkin Ranch

Since we weren't able to have Trigg's birthday party at the Pumpkin Ranch, we ended up heading there the following weekend to pick some pumpkins!
This year, they have 2 giant slides that Trigg and I were excited to test out...
...it was so fun, a little fast, but lots of fun!
We also checked out the horses they have, I think they were doing pony rides, but the horses must have been on break.
 Good horse...
The crew standing in front of the corn maze...Trigg and I ventured into the maze while Mom stood in line for the tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch, we didn't make it too far in before we wanted turned back to find Mom!
 Time to find some pumpkins!
This looks like a good one!
 How Tall This Fall?
 Trigg is getting bigger!
We had a great time at the Pumpkin Ranch, lots of fun things to do and it is always fun picking out your own pumpkin from the patch!  Now it's time to start carving...

Birthday Boy

This month our little man turned 2!  We had planned to have his birthday party at The Pumpkin Ranch in Winterset, so we went the week before to scope it out.
Trigg approved of the Johnny Tractor tricycle!
...but we got an even bigger smile from the actual Johnny Tractor!
 There are so many pumpkins!
Well the day of the party rolled around and so did the rain clouds...so we ended up having the party in our garage...We kicked off the party with a little story time!
Then it was on to the presents!
Trigg was super excited about all his new toys, books and other fun stuff!
 New books are the best!
 Look who's 2!
Our friend Jamie made the cookies and did a terrific job!
Mom made the display, great job Mom!
Trigg and Dad relaxing in the garage!
Nothing says "Happy Birthday" like walking tacos!  Uncle Chad approves!
 Aunt Christa and Uncle Wade
Grandma & Grandpa along with Nana & Papa enjoying Trigg's party!
Mom, Grandma Great and Aunt Shay hanging out with the birthday boy.
Is that a blue cookie...mmm, so good!
After the food, we decorated little pumpkins!
Cousin Nathan using a paint pen to make his pumpkin colorful!
Trigg working hard on his pumpkin!
 Cousin Morgan is all smiles!
Our paint pen got away from us and we got a little blue under the nose...oh well
After the dust settled, it was a successful party (even in the garage)!
Trigg helping to pick up, gathering up the balloons.
We have a family tradition that we don't work on each other's birthdays, so birthday morning we had cinnamon roles in our jammies!
And a cupcake for dessert after supper!
 Happy Birthday Trigg!
Here are a few pictures of our little man.  "How old are you Trigg?"
"TWO"
 Oh boy
 All smiles...
 ...surprised!
What a dude, it's hard for me to believe that he is two...Happy Birthday Trigg!

Adventureland Part 2

The last weekend in September, we packed up a picnic and headed to Adventureland.  It was the last weekend of the season and we were ready for some thrills and spills!  We met Grandma Great there and had a great time!
1st stop...the carousel.
Then it was up the stairs to the Adventureland Train!  "All Aboard!"
Pit stop at the teacups...round and around we go!
Trigg was really excited to ride the ladybugs...he rode them about 6 times in a row!
Trigg and I hopped onto this dragon to fly high...Trigg got to grab the controls...
...this ride spun around a little faster then I expected...
Mom and Trigg went for a ride in the Chuck Wagon!
Trigg also wanted to drive a boat...
...the look of concentration as he steers his boat through the water!
Then Trigg took a trip on a fire truck!
...and we drove a blue big rig!
We finished the day where we started...at the carousel.  This horse is named Leo because of the lion sitting behind the saddle (according to the Sue, the carousel operator).
We had a great day at Adventureland, lots of fun and plenty of laughs!
