4th of July

We had a great 4th of July!  I started out the day running in the Urbandale 4th of July 5k.  I was planning on pushing Trigg, but with the race start time at 7:30, I ran it alone.  Heather and Trigg made it to the race after breakfast to cheer me on!

After the race and nap time, we headed up to the splash park to enjoy the water!  With temperatures around 103...the water felt more like a bath than a pool but it was still refreshing!  Then we got changed into our patriotic colors!  Even the house got the red, white and blue bucket and flowers!

We headed over to the Siskow's for supper and to hang out for a while.  Sydney and Trigg were both excited to celebrate the USA!

We had a great 4th, even though we didn't get to see any fireworks...Trigg's bedtime is around 8:30...but we could hear them from our house!  Hope you had a great 4th too!
